FAQs

Is the area around the wedding safe for walking?

We spend a lot of time in the area (Greenpoint, Williamsburg) and always feel safe walking around, especially during the day and early evening. Like any big city, we recommend staying aware of your surroundings and sticking to well-lit, busier streets at night. If you ever feel unsure, taxis and rideshares are always great options.

Are kids allowed?

Our wedding will be mostly adults-only, with the exception of a few children from our immediate families. If you're not certain whether your kids are invited, please take a look at your invitation and the RSVP form on our website, or ask us. If you are planning to travel with your kids, we’re happy to ask our local parent friends for babysitter recommendations - just reach out to us!

What type of food will be served?

Rule of Thirds is a fabulous Japanese restaurant, so expect all the food at the wedding to have some Japanese flair! Feel free to check out their website to get an idea of what to expect (though the menu for the wedding won’t be exactly the same as what’s listed there). We’ll ask for dietary restrictions along with the RSVPs.

How do I RSVP?

You’ll receive a formal invitation in early January, which will include a link to RSVP. At that time, you’ll also see an RSVP link on this website.

Are either of you changing your name?

Nicole and Sam are each keeping their own last names!
